The leaching rates of copper and triazole(such as tebuconazole and propiconazole) in different preservative formulations were determined according to American Wood Protection Association standard of AWPA E11-97.Copper fixation rate of copper triazole and ACQ which was dispersed in ammonia was higher than that in ethanolamine. For the copper formulations dispersed in ethanolamine,it was interesting to observe that the copper fixation rate at low retention was higher than that at high retention.Copper in the formulations of triazole reduced the leaching rate of tebuconazole and propiconazole. The leaching rate of tebuconazole in ethanol was the highest with 37%.
