A steel-wood composite panel composed of cold-formed thin-walled steel plate and plywood connected with structural glue and screws was developed. The influences of the steel plate thickness, plywood thickness, composite panel height and span on the natural vibration and bending performance of the composite panel were analyzed. And a more effective and simpler comfort criterion was proposed. The results showed that the plywood and the thin-walled steel plate could be well combined together. Increasing the thickness of the steel plate and the thickness of the plywood could significantly improve the bearing capacity and vibration comfort of the composite panel. The panel was recommended to for residential or office buildings with floor spans no greater than 3.6 m.
