Influence of drying temperature and relative humidity(RH) on drying rate and coating film properties of waterborne polyurethane wood lacquers were explored. The results showed that surface and hard drying time of the base-coat first finishing(BI), the top-coat first finishing(SI) and the top-coat secondary finishing(SII) all reduced gradually with temperature increase, and time interval of the surface and the hard drying time between SI and SII became short. The surface and hard drying time of the BI increased smoothly with RH increase. The surface and hard drying time of the SI and SII elongated when RH was high. No obvious differences were found of the hardness and adhesion of the coating films under different drying conditions. Abrasion resistance of the coating films decreased with RH increase.
