Both acetylacetone method and 3-methyl-2-benzothiazone hydrochloride(MBTH) method were used to quantitatively analyze formaldehyde emissions from wood-based panel products. The results showed that with 120 L of sampling volume, method detection limit(MDL) of acetylacetone was 0.007 mg/m ,3, which was relatively high for detecting low level(≤0.04 mg/m,3,) formaldehyde emissions. The results also showed that MDL of MBTH method was 0.0008 mg/m,3, with fast and sensitive reactions, which was suitable for detecting low level(,<,0.124 mg/m,3,) formaldehyde emissions according to GB 18580-2017.
