Non-woven fabric reinforced decorative veneers were developed for overlaying on a special shaped surface bonded with poly vinyl acetate emulsion or urea-formaldehyde resin. In order to improve veneer flexibility and transverse tensile strength, the authors made experiments to optimize the production process. Results showed that better flexibility was obtained when poly vinyl acetate emulsion adhesive was used with 30g/m2 resin consumption,115 ℃ hot-pressing temperature, and 150 seconds hot-pressing time thereby causing a 5~8times increase in veneer transverse tensile strength.
