This article discusses potential integrated implementation of an energy saving system during the wood drying process such as,steam heating,burning residues as heating resources,improving efficiency of cooling system,combining air and kiln drying,optimizing a drying schedule and applying an intelligent control system.These methods were synthesized and applied in a wood drying mill.The results showed that the drying cycle could be decreased by 3.5 days and the wood drying quality also improved.
