ZHOU Wei, LIU Yan-zhen, ZHAO Yu-jing, et al. Study on Manufacture Technique of Agglomerated Cork Board[J]. China Wood Industry, 2008,(2):37-39. DOI: 10.19455/j.mcgy.2008.02.012.
The authors used the mixture of diphenylmethane diisocyanate(MDI) and vinyl acetate-ethylene(VAE) adhesive to develop low-density agglomerated cork board to reduce the manufacturing cost.Four factors, the ratio of MDI and VAE,resin content,hot-pressing temperature, and pressing time, were selected to explore their effects on the board properties with this less expensive resin system. The result showed replacing some MDI with VAE didn’t reduce board properties, but it could lower the material cost by using inexpensive VAE.It was found that the optimized parameters to make the cork boards were: ratio of MDI to VAE 0.25,resin content 10%,hot pressing temperature 150 ℃,and pressing time 30 minutes.
