This paper summarized research progress in reconstituted bamboo timber,and discussed the feasibility of its industrialization from four aspects:resource,technology,marketing and investment benefits.It was proposed that developing reconstituted timber could change the current status of basically depending on large-size Moso bamboo and low utilization rate for bamboo resources.Increasing the use of small diameter bamboo and bamboo residues would help save precious bamboo resources and improve economic benefits.
