Through the use of the internet,active server page（ASP） and database,the authors built a virtual wood herbarium where all the wood samples of CRIWI were visualized through computerization,thereby making samples gain permanent accessibility.They also developed a touch-style search system to improve work efficiency,and an internet information service system to increase the number of users and make the most efficient use of the limited resources.
