A UV-curable acrylated epoxy prepolymer resin used for bamboo and wood was modified by reacting E-44 epoxy with acrylic in the presence of onium. The effects of synthesis conditions, such as the kind and dosage of catalyst and reaction temperature were discussed. The influences of kind of photoinitiator on curing speed, as well as curing time on coating property were also analyzed. The product was characterized by IR spectra, and an optimum technological process was obtained.
