The effects of fiber ratio of bamboo to wood, compression ratio and fibers screening distribution on properties of MDF from bamboo and wood(BW MDF)were studied with single factor analyzing method. Experimental results showed:high grade BW MDF could be produced under proper technological conditions. MOE,MOR and TS of the board increased with decreased IB when the ratio of bamboo fibers to wood fibers grew. IB was the lowest when the ratio equaled l. MOE,MOR,IB and TS of the board increased with growing of compression ratio. In general, the quality of the board made of more fine fibers whose fiber screening distribution mostly concentrated in 28~90 mesh were better than that made of longer and course fibers whose fiber screening distribution mostly concentrated in 2~20 mesh and 5~28 mesh.
