A new glass fibre reinforced magnesium cement board imitating F.mandshurica wood was developed. In the procedure of board making, wood crumbs or crop stalks were used as filling materials while magnesium oxide and other mineral materials were used as adhesives with mid alkaline glass fibre cloths as reinforcement materials. The board was shaped in a special mould. The physi mechanical properties and the appearance performance of the board were as similar as polywood made of F.mandshurica with good fireproof characteristics.
