- 摘要：China’s national statistics authority reported that China’s GDP growth rate in 2005 is expected to reach as high as 9.8%. Such rapid economic and social development provides huge development platforms and opportunities for market supply and demand as well as trade and investment in the forest products sector.The current status and future potential of the forest products industry in China are described for three areas of trade: supply and demand,technical orientation and policy direction;and finally,a summary of the importance of Chinese forest products in the import-export trade of the world’s forest products.关键词：Forest resources;Forestry industry;planted forest;Forest products

发布时间：2021-02-08 - 摘要：The author first analyzed the wood importexport trade in China during 2005 and predicted a trend in 2006.He then presented his views on the future of the wood industry in China with a focus on the wood resource issue.In his opinion,the increasing stock volume of forest resources,both in China and abroad,should be beneficial to the wood industry in China. He also argued against those fallacies that ascribe the destruction of international forests to China.Finally,he suggested that Chinese manufactures should transform their production mode from being labor intensive to capital and technology intensive,and expand international markets by manufacturing good quality,brand names and maintaining good credit.关键词：wood;import and export;Wood resources;Wood industry

发布时间：2021-02-08 - 摘要：The author reviewed the current status of the wood industry in Southwest China(including Yunnan,Sichuan,Guizhou Provinces and Guangxi,Tibet Autonomous Regions) covering industrial distribution,raw material resources,production level and scale,markets,research and development capacity and manpower resource issues.The results indicated that the government should establish some favorable policies for this region.It is also suggested that further development of the Southwest wood industry should aim at establishing a circular-economy mode,apply advanced science and technology,adjust the products,and give economic compensation for forest ecology re-construction.The effect of the Southwest wood industry on the social,economy,ecology and environment,not only in the area itself but also for the whole country,was also explained.These factors all have important roles in revitalizing the wood industry,not only in the Southwest,but for all of China.关键词：wood industry;southwest China
