Samples of flame-retardant decorative plywood were detected by single burning item test（SBI） and cone calorimeter test（CONE）. The result showed that the heat release rate（HRR） and total heat release（THR） of the samples were decreased, the smoke production rate and total smoke production of the samples were inhibited, and the wood charring rate of the samples was reduced. The performance of the tested samples could meet the requirement of Grade B1（B） of GB 8624—2012 and could be used as the wall covering material in timber construction. This characteristic plays a key role in improving the fire safety of timber construction. Meanwhile, fabricated light-frame structure could be improved by integrating structural support, fire resistance of wood frame, interior decoration, and flame retardancy.
