As new energy-saving and comfortable heating systems have become more common, floor heating systems for wooden flooring has been increasing and is becoming widely used in residential houses in China. The authors summarized floor heating systems for wooden floorings and described heat transfer principles and various structures. They made suggestions for technology development, standard formulations and new material applications for reference to future research and development of floor heating systems for wooden floorings.
