Emission Study of Volatile Organic Compounds Released from Bamboo Flooring
A variety of volatile organic compounds ( VOC) ,released from bamboo flooring samples were monitored using auto thermal desorption ( ATD) and gas chromatography/mass spectrum ( GC/MS) . The double exponential attenuation model was used to fit these VOC releasing curves. The results showed that increasing the temperature greatly affected phase-one VOC emissions, dramatically increasing the initial emission rates. Increasing the humidity seemed to inhibit the VOC emissions at the beginning, but later increased VOC emissions in phase two.
