The authors summarized the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission（CPSC） safety requirements and market regulatory policies for furniture quality and other consumer goods in recent years,analyzed recall cases by the CPSC of wood products and furniture made in China,and also described the primary reasons for the recalls.With reference to the technical regulations and standards for furniture and wood products in America,the authors presented recommendations to improve product quality and to reduce technical non-trade risk for Chinese enterprises.
