Bolted connections have been widely used in modern timber structures.Their mechanical properties are very important for designing safe and durable wood structures.The authors have summarized studies on timber bolt connections for predicting failure,as well as modeling strength and mechanical behaviors under fire and seismic conditions.The authors also have made some suggestions for future modeling mechanical behavior and reliability based on previous development in modern timber bolted joints.
