This paper describes the classification and resources of wood wastes.To convert the wood waste to energy,the authors described the major advantages and disadvantages of three commonly-used bio-conversion techniques: fast pyrolysis,gasification,and pelletization.It is noted that a conversion technique should be adopted based on the characteristics and supply of wood wastes.The authors believed that the fast pyrolysis technology would have more potential in China.
