Heat-treated Pinus sylvestris resistance against mould,fungi stain and termite attack was tested in our laboratory and the durability towards rot-fungi and termites was evaluated with our field test.The results showed that the heat-treated Pinus sylvestris did not resist mildew,termites,and blue-stain fungus.The two-and-half year field tests in Guangzhou showed the control samples decay resistance to be at the zero classification while the heat-treated wood was at the 9.5 classification.However,the classification rating for termite resistance was only two for the heat-treated samples.
