Industrial engineering & energy audit are two commonly-used methods that can improve the industrialization of Chinese furniture manufacturing.The authors described the definition of industrial engineering and energy audit.They also illustrated the techniques,application,and current status of the two methods.They proposed that industrial engineering could play an import role in offering baseline data and a knowledge system for an energy audit,improve industrialization and competitiveness of Chinese furniture manufacturing.
