The ecological economy benefited directly and indirectly from China’s timber forests in 2008 when output reached 1.2 trillion RMB Yuan.The ecological economy benefits should be considered when evaluating industry contributions.Carbon storing by wood products and timber forest carbon fixing should be emphasized in both domestic and international carbon trade,national policies,and the carbon tax,or the ecology tax,to promote the wood products industry.
