Timber drying problems in the Chinese furniture industry are discussed in this paper.Topics that are reviewed include pre-drying,drying and moisture control during the manufacturing process.The price of hardwood for furniture manufacturing has become so expensive that raising lumber quality and reducing drying degradation are now of primary importance.We have found that the most efficient way to achieve this goal is to dry hardwood through the use of scientific methods.
