This paper studies the importance of applying new and advanced techniques to improve and promote the traditional furniture manufacturing industry in China. It also illustrates that a major factor has been the application of a five-axis solid-wood CNC machining center to improve manufacturing efficiency, as well as to increase competition between companies. Critical topics focused on the structure, characteristics, market status and key techniques of the five-axis solid-wood CNC machining center as it applies to the furniture manufacturing industry.
