Four species of plantation grown Eucalypt （ Eucalyptus urophylla,E. grandis×E. urophylla, E. urophylla×E. tereticornis and E. pellita ）, aged 3 to 5 years, were selected to determine their longitudinal growth strain. The plantations selected were in Leizhou district, Guandong Province, due to their good growing conditions. The test results indicated that the variance of growth strain among four species was significant. It also found that there was a linear correlation between the growth strain and diameter of E. urophylla×E. tereticornis. It is expected that the results will provide useful references for the processing and utilization of Eucalypt plantation wood.
