With the innovation of polycrystalline diamond, its combination with tungsten carbide has endowed the woodworking cutters with super abrasion resistance. In this paper, the characteristics of 3 main types of polycrystalline diamond cutters were summarized. Commonly used diamond cutters for wood processing were also reviewed. These included the diamond saw blades for panel saws, the diamond hogging cutters in a double end tenoner, the diamond trimming cutter in an edgebander, as well as the diamond machining system for laminated flooring. 
