This paper reviewed and analysed the drying properties and characteristics of Eucalyptus. It indicated that variations of density, moisture content and shrinkage of Eucalyptus were distinct. Collapse and checks were main defects in drying process. The pre freezing treatment and conditioning before and after drying could reduce wood collapse. Some suggestions for further research of drying schedule and two stage drying technology for various kinds of Eucalyptus lumbers in different sizes were put forward.
