In this paper, the author discusses the policy problems of wood material supplies in wood based panel industry in China, especially when China joins WTO. To ensure developing Chinese wood industry healthily and sustainably, some suggestions for macro policy are put forward, such as setting up forest bases for raw materials supply; reducing or remitting agricultural native products taxes on logs and some other taxes on logging residues, inferior wood and fuel wood; strengthening trade administration and implementing national quality standards of wood based products strictly.
