The fire retardant-treated particteboard was produced by mixing wood chips with fire retardant, fire resistant solid component respectively. This production technology causes no waste of chemicals and no enviromental pollution. The fire retardant chemicals used contain amino resin as carrier and P-N system chemical solution.The physical and mechanical properties of fire retardant-treated particleboard met the Chinese National Standart of particleboard. The fire retardant poperties of the board were oxygen index of 40%-50%, flame resistance time of 15-25min as well as smoke generation of class A. The fire retardant used is low toxic to human.
