Cork/fiberboard laminate soundproof flooring was prepared by overlaying various thicknesses of cork-layer on top of fiberboards. The effect of the thickness of cork-layer on the impact sound pressure level of cork/fiberboard flooring was studied to determine the optimum cork-layer thickness. The results showed that the impact sound pressure level of the cork/fiberboard laminate soundproof floor is 74.1 dB, and the performance of soundproof is excellent. According to the results of multiple comparison analysis, and the cost of cork, the 2.4 mm thick cork-layer was an economically prime option for a pleasant soundproof performance. The properties of the soundproof flooring including the density and moisture content met the requirement of LY/T 1657—2015; and modulus of rupture(MOR) of the flooring met the requirement of GB/T 18102—2007.
