Ultra-low density flame-retardant fiberboard samples were manufactured with isocyanate(PMDI) resin and P-N-B flame-retardants. Effects of hot pressing temperature, pressing time, PMDI dosage and flame-retardant dosage on properties of the fiberboards were investigated.Test results showed that mechanical properties of the samples were enhanced with increase of pressing temperature and time as well PMDI dosage, while 24 h thickness swelling(TS) of the samples presented a decrease trend with unchanged oxygen index(OI). But the mechanical properties of the samples were getting poor with increase of flame-retardant dosage, while oxygen index of the samples enhanced.Mechanical properties and flame-retardant properties of the samples made with optimized manufacturing technology could meet the requirement of LY/T 1718-2017 standard and B,1,-C grade requirement of GB8624-2012 standard, respectively.
