The authors selected nano-TiO,2, and ultraviolet absorbents to modify a UV-curing ink used for printing decorative papers. The ink properties were tested to evaluate effects of the modifiers on the ink.The results showed that after modification by nano-TiO,2, or ultraviolet absorbent, the UV ink was stable with reduced average particle sizes and viscosity as well as enhanced absorbance in the ultraviolet region. Therefore, optimum parameters for modification of the UV ink was 1.0% of TiO,2, or 1.5% of ultraviolet absorbent.
