Different resin consumptions were used to make melamine-impregnated paper which were then overlaid on medium density fiberboard(MDF) samples. The surface resistances of the MDF samples were tested. The results showed that when the resin consumption of the impregnated paper was between 120% to 140%, all of the properties of the samples tested could meet the requirements of the National Standard GB/T 15102-2006 for surface decorated wood-based panels.
