Cyclobalanopsis glaucoides is a difficult-to-dry wood species. The authors developed an intermittent drying schedule and conducted a drying experiment for 25 mm thick Cyclobalanopsis glaucoides lumber. The results showed moisture content of the lumber decreased from 39% to 12% in 22 days without surface checking and properties that met Grade Ⅱ specifications of the National Standard GB 6491-2012. The authors suggested that the intermittent drying schedule was suitable for drying kilns with poor insulation and air leakages.
