According to the National Standard GB/T 50329-2012 for test methods of timber structures under forces parallel to grain and longitudinal direction of metal plate connectors,metalplate connectors with three different widths(50,100 and 150 mm)were selected to join SPF Ⅱdimensional lumber from North America.Then lateral slip resistance and ultimate lateral resistance of the metal-plate connectors were evaluated.Testing results showed that the metal plates with 50 ,1,50 mm in width had little influence on the lateral slip resistance and the ultimate lateral resistance.But the metal plate with 100 mm in width showed the most stable bearing capacity.
