Contradiction between energy consumption and energy shortage has been intensifying in wood processing industry.But energy selfsufficiency technologies in certain foreign wood processing industries were developed and proved affective.To improve awareness of saving energy of domestic wood processing industries,the author analyzed cost/effectiveness relation between use of processing residues to produce energy and conventional energy consumption in wood processing industries,it indicated that it would be possible in theory to make wood processing industries selfsufficient in energy supply.
