Acacia mangium Plantation wood was tested for its natural resistance against decay fungi,natural durability,treatability and preservation.The results showed that:(1)Dry weight losses of the wood caused by Coriolus vericolor and Poria placenta were 3662% and 3574% respectively.The natural decay resistance of the wood was in the range of nonresistance and slightresistance class,and the natural durability belonged nondurable class as its natural durable life was less than 2 years.(2)The wood was easily treated with preservatives by room temperature/nonpressure steeping,hot and cold bath process and Lowry process.The natural decay resistance of the wood could be raised to highresistance class when treated with 3% CCB,TWP or BU preservatives.
