China’s forest resource is relatively lack and structural shortage of wood will be more critical in the future so that the consumption of wood and wood products must be resourcesaving.In the mean time of enlarging plantation forest resource,we must also improve wood utilization efficiency,save wood resource and use substitutes to wood resources,luxurious consumption of wood products should be limited as well.The efficiency of market operation of wood and wood products must be further improved,so that market mechanism could play a fundermental role in wood resource distribution.There is a possibility for China to be basically selfsufficient in wood and main wood products in year 2010.
