In order to improve the performance of particleboard made from mixture of reed and flax stalk,the relevant technology issues,including the modification of adhesive,the sur- face treatment of reeds, the optimal manufacturing technology,were studies,which resulted in the establishment of the optimal manufacturing technology and the working plan for trial production。The results of the trial production indicated that the physical and mechanical properties of the board could meet the requirement of the National Particleboard Standard(GB/T 4897─92).The production cost is lower than that made from other raw materials in our country。By means of properly innovating the production line of particleboard of flax stalk,qualified particleboard from reed and flax stalk can be made。 This new technology makes it possible to use a new kind of raw materials in flax stalk particleboard factories which are facing the shortage of raw material supply。It will also widen the way of the utiliza- tion of reed。
