CCB is an excellent wood preservative. But its anti-leaching is not as good as thatof CCA. Because CCB is a water soluble preservative,the dimension of wood will be changedafter treatment with CCB. This study attempts to improve the anti-leaching of CCB and di-mensional stability of the treated wood by means of adding some polymer or resin into thepreservative. The results showed that after a small amount of polyvinyl acetals resin wasadded into CCB the leaching of copper,chromium,boron decreaced 57.63,78.53 and 96.4%respectively,the tangential,radical and volumetric wet-swelling rates decreased 91.97,88.34,84.20%,The decay resistance of treated wood was improved distinctly.
