Aims

Chinese Journal of Wood Science and Technology (ISSN 2096-9694) is an open access journal of wood science. It publishes research papers, communications and review articles. Chinese Journal of Wood Science and Technology  provides an interdisciplinary forum for publishing papers which advance the fields of (i) Wood properties and applications, (ii) Wood-based composites, (iii) Chemical Utilization of Wood, (iv) Wood (bamboo) structure, (v) Wood processing intelligent manufacturing, and (vi)Wood processing intelligent manufacturing. Scientists are encouraged to publish their experimental and theoretical results in as much detail as possible. Therefore, there is no restriction on the length of the papers. The full experimental and computational details must be provided so that the results can be reproduced.

 

 

Scope

Chinese Journal of Wood Science and Technology covers the latest achievements and developments in the field of wood and related science and technology. It reports on the following topics:

  • Wood properties and applications, including basic theoretical research on wood anatomy, wood chemistry, wood physics, wood mechanics, etc., and new methods and technologies for wood processing and utilization such as wood identification, component utilization, drying, functional improvement, and performance evaluation.

 

  • Wood-based composite materials, including basic theory of recombination and composite materials, synthetic application of adhesives, preparation of functionalized composite materials and other manufacturing application technologies.

 

  •  Chemical utilization of wood, including conversion of wood chemical resources, chemical modification, efficient separation of components, regulation of main component reactivity, and preparation of bio-based polymer materials.

 

  • Wood (bamboo) structure, including key technologies such as wood (bamboo) structure manufacturing process, ancient building protection, building physics and structural design, assembly technology and durability evaluation, insect-proof, anti-corrosion and flame-retardant of structure and components.

 

  • Intelligent manufacturing of wood processing, including research on advanced technologies such as digitalization, networking, intelligence, and greening of wood processing, processing digital model and virtual simulation, machine perception and online detection, preparation and technology of environmentally friendly veneer materials, etc.

 

  • Green and safe manufacturing of wood processing, including green manufacturing standards for wood and bamboo products, full life cycle environmental assessment of wood and bamboo products, energy saving and material saving in wood production, VOC reduction in wood-based panel production, environmentally friendly green adhesives, VOC reduction in wood products, Key technologies such as dust pollution control and explosion protection
