In this study, a manufacturing technology for slash pine (Pinus elliottii) \{medium density\} fiberboard (MDF) is discussed by means of orthogonal experiment design with 4 variable factors: resin content, mat moisture content, pressing temperature, pressing time. The results showed that: 1)mat moisture content and pressing time had more effect on physical and mechanical properties of MDF and resin content and pressing temperature had less effect on that of MDF;2)in the range of the experiment condition, the suitable level of variables was resin content of 8%9%,mat moisture content of 10%,pressing temperature of 165,pressing time of 5 min. The physical and mechanical properties of MDF can meet special grade requirement of MDF standard GB 1171889.
