This paper briefly reviewed the history of MDF and the current "MDF development explosion" in China, aiming at increasing awareness of relevant authorities and the industry itself with the hope that the MDF industry in China could be developed in a healthy way with good order. Measurements and actions which should be taken were recommended based on analyses of 6 issues relevant to the MDF industry in China, e.g. market, resource, production, R & D, management, and government macro control.
