Quality control is essential for the effective production supervi-sion as well as for the standardization of the product properties.The proper-ties of particleboard depend on a variety of influencing factors.The exampleof a Chinese particleboard plant shows which influencing factors take effect onthe individual basic operations of the board production and which productiondata have to be acquired for the production control.These data as well as theparticleboard characteristics have been determined according to a test schedulewithin a three-month period by the employees of the plant.Analysis and eva-luation of the data were carried out. The most important results are represen-ted in the following work. Furthermore,measures are proposed for the qualityimprovement of the particleboards of this plant.
