and bending joint specimens of log structure wall corner were designed and produced. The monotonous loading tests were carried out
the failure mode and load bearing performance of the joints were investigated under different mechanical modulus of elasticity and different loading conditions. The results showed that the load carrying capacity of the specimens made with M
E
9 laminates in the vertical compression
three-point bending
and bending shear condition were reduced by 20%~30% compared to the specimens made with M
E
10 laminates. In the tests of three-point bending
bending shear
and bending
the damaged specimen joints all showed brittle failure mode. The starting point of the damage cracks of the specimens mostly appeared in the slotted position of the joints. The position and depth of the joint slots had a certain effect on the bearing capacity of the joints.
