Correlation between Main Chemical Component and Bending Mechanical Property of Larch Wood

以两个家系、三个树龄落叶松不同径向位置木材为试验对象,分析其主要化学成分与抗弯力学性能的关联,并对比化学成分密度与化学成分质量分数两种指标表征的差异。结果表明,采用化学成分密度指标时,纤维素、半纤维素、木质素之间的相关性较采用化学成分质量分数指标更强,达到高度相关水平。在反映三大素与抗弯力学性能的相关性方面,化学成分密度指标优于化学成分质量分数,其中纤维素密度与抗弯弹性模量(MOE)、抗弯强度(MOR)的线性拟合决定系数分别达0.83、0.86,明显优于纤维素质量分数(0.21、0.13)及木材密度(0.61、0.75)的拟合效果,表明其可作为评估抗弯力学性能的有效指标,尤其适用于微量或微创取样条件下的快速评估。
This study analyzed the relationship between the main chemical components and the bending mechanical properties of larch wood from two interspecific hybrid families across three tree ages
sampled at different radial positions. A comparison was conducted between two characterization metrics: chemical component density and mass fraction. The results showed that the correlations among cellulose
hemicellulose
and lignin were consistently stronger when expressed as chemical component density
with all reaching a high correlation level. Chemical component density also outperformed mass fraction in revealing the relationships between the three components and the bending mechanical properties. In particular
the coefficients of determination for linear fits between cellulose density and bending modulus of elasticity (MOE) and modulus of rupture (MOR) were 0.83 and 0.86
respectively
which were significantly higher than those obtained for cellulose mass fraction (0.21 and 0.13) and wood density (0.61 and 0.75). Thus
cellulose density can serve as an effective indicator for the rapid and reliable assessment of larch wood bending mechanical properties
proving especially suitable for scenarios limited to micro-destructive or minimal sampling.
